One morning, when I was sitting with Father in my secret place, I felt like I saw a picture in my mind of me walking over to Him, taking His hands and stepping up onto His feet to dance. I’m usually a little girl when I see us dancing this way. Standing on His feet ensures that He will lead me as we dance, and all I have to do is surrender to His movement and hold on tight.
He began whispering to my heart,
“I love when my children come to Me to dance. As you stand on my feet and hold on tight, when I move, you move. When I stop, you stop. When I lean, you lean. The moves for our dance this year will look different than the ones in the past.”
I felt like He was speaking of dancing as a metaphor for living daily WITH HIM. To step into the new year with a few “dance moves” in our toolbox… for being an on fire lover of God, who lives kingdom and loves others, even if it’s a sacrifice.
“Watch what God does, and then you do it, like children who learn proper behavior from their parents. Mostly what God does is love you. Keep company with him and learn a life of love. Observe how Christ loved us. His love was not cautious but extravagant. He didn’t love in order to get something from us but to give everything of himself to us. Love like that.” Ephesians 5:1-2 MSG
He began to tell me a few things about dancing with Him in 2026…
🌟Stay Close. Cling to Me as we dance. Keep your thoughts stayed on Me and what I’m doing and saying. (Where is your focus? What are you giving your attention to?) (Isaiah 26:3)
🌟Don’t listen to the voices on the sidelines of the dance floor. Do not listen to just anyone who pops up on the news or social media. Ask Me about unfolding events. Ask Me to lead you to trustworthy news sources. Remember the enemy prowls around like a lion looking for those who will agree with him in the illusion of fear. (1 Peter 5:8)
🌟Surrender your knowledge and muscle memory of old dance moves we’ve done in the past. Let go of past ways and let me lead you in a way to dance you’ve not yet experienced. The unknown is not scary as long as you hold tight to Me, keeping your eyes on Mine, allowing Me to lead the dance. Die to yourself and the ways you’ve danced before. I am doing a new thing! (Galatians 2:20)
“I am the Lord, who opened a way through the waters, making a dry path through the sea… “But forget all that— it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.” Isaiah 43:16, 18-19 NLT
🌟BELIEVE you are My daughter (and son) and put on your new clothes of royalty for this dance. Do not believe the lies you are not worthy or good enough. I paid the ultimate price to clothe you in your NEW NATURE so that you could know Me, be in step with Me and become like My son, Jesus. Believe the truth My Beloved child! And don’t forget your crown. (Colossians 3:10)
Remember, I AM leading this dance. I don’t ask you to step into the dance alone. I AM with you, and as you surrender your will to mine, you will find our dance is easy! You will be completely amazed at many of the NEW dance moves we are going to do together. Keep your thoughts focused on my LOVE for you and the truth of my WORD.
Tell others about the dance. I dance with every one of my children as they come to me in surrender. It all begins with trust.”
“Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on him to guide you, and he will lead you in every decision you make. Become intimate with him in whatever you do, and he will lead you wherever you go. Don’t think for a moment that you know it all, for wisdom comes when you adore him with undivided devotion and avoid everything that’s wrong. Then you will find the healing refreshment your body and spirit long for.”

What about you? Do you believe the Father in heaven wants to dance with you? He longs to lead you in 2026.
Maybe you are thinking, “I don’t know how…??????”
Go to Him in prayer. Pour your heart out to Him and tell him you desire Him to speak to you everyday and lead your dance. Give Him some of your time. Be still and pay attention to the gentle whispers from Him we usually perceive as “thoughts”. Get a journal or notebook and write the thoughts down trusting in His LOVE and His WORD. (In John 10:27 Jesus says, “My sheep will hear my voice, I know them, and they follow me.”) Hearing God speaking to you is the first dancing lesson!
