One day I heard the Lord say to my heart:

Your life will go the way of your gaze.

It’s all about focus. If your focus is on you, you will never be settled… you’ll always be comparing yourself to others, feeling less than, or feeling the shame that the enemy whispers at opportune times.

But if your focus is on Me… You see My love for you. You will see My eyes, returning your gaze. You’ll see a path forming ahead – a direction and a leading forward. As you hold My hand, you will be so focused on Me and my ability to crush anything coming against you that you will enter rest, because you no longer have to worry about all those details. The things of the earth become strangely dim in the light of My glory, grace, and passionate love for you. Personal, pursuing, passionate love where nothing else has your attention, because I have all of it!

Look at Me.

Gaze at Me.

FOCUS on Me.

Focus is the key to endurance

Focus is the key to endurance. Hebrews 12 shows us the example Jesus modeled:

“As for us, we have all of these great witnesses who encircle us like clouds. So we must let go of every wound that has pierced us and the sin we so easily fall into. Then we will be able to run life’s marathon race with passion and determination, for the path has been already marked out before us. We look away from the natural realm and we focus our attention and expectation onto Jesus who birthed faith within us and who leads us forward into faith’s perfection. His example is this: Because his heart was focused on the joy of knowing that you would be his, he endured the agony of the cross and conquered its humiliation, and now sits exalted at the right hand of the throne of God!”

I felt I heard the Lord go on, “Have you ever seen someone so intently focused on something- such as watching television-that a host of things can be going on around them: kids running around, people making noise, babies crying, etc, but the person is “glued” to the television. He doesn’t even look up. He’s focused. He’s only hearing the TV.

In this same way, glue yourself to me. To my voice. To my love. To my leading. To what I’m singing over you. The scripture I’m reminding you of. Who I’m bringing to mind to pray for.

My eyes. My eyes. My eyes.

Focus on my eyes.

Keep looking at Me. Focus on My majesty.

My ability to create with a word.

To reverse a situation in a blink of an eye.

To melt your heart as I whisper My love to you.

To demolish any and every attack as you step inside of ME, your Savior.”

In my mind’s eye, the Holy Spirit gave me a vision. I see a daughter of King Jesus, standing there seemingly alone, yet quietly turning her affections to Jesus. For a moment I get a glimpse into the spirit realm and see an enemy force, creeping up behind her. At the instruction of the Lord Jesus, this daughter takes a step closer to him and disappears inside him. All of a sudden, that little demon is standing there, looking up at the king of Kings. He starts to shake in fear and limps away like a scared little animal. The daughter of Christ never even saw it because she only had eyes for Him. Jesus had her undivided attention.

“For in Him [Jesus] the whole fullness of Deity (the Godhead) continues to dwell in bodily form [giving complete expression of the divine nature]. And you are in Him, made full and having come to fullness of life [in Christ you too are filled with the Godhead–Father, Son and Holy Spirit–and reach full spiritual stature]. And He is the Head of all rule and authority [of every angelic principality and power].”‬‬

‭‭Colossians‬ ‭2‬:‭9‬-‭10‬ ‭AMPC

“The Lord himself will fight for you.”

Exodus 14:14

Then Jesus whispered, “Gazing, looking, and locking eyes with ME and Who I AM, and hearing My truth and love pouring over you… settles your heart to fully trust Me with the eyes of faith that cannot be moved.”

Friends, this is love that casts out fear! (1 John 4:17–18)  Keep your FOCUS on the one who never takes His eyes off of you… and experience PEACE that overcomes the world.
